Jarboe's Awards $5,000 in Scholarships to High School Seniors

LOUISVILLE (May 30, 2023) – Jarboe’s Heating, Cooling & Plumbing, a leading heating, air conditioning and plumbing company serving greater Louisville, is proud to announce it has awarded five high school seniors with $1,000 MAX Scholarships for Leadership.

Since 2015, Jarboe’s Heating, Cooling and Plumbing has awarded scholarships to local high school seniors who have shown excellent leadership skills either in the classroom, the community, or within their teams/organizations. Scholarship recipients this year include:

Hailey T., DuPont Manual High School

Hailey is a volunteer with Educational Justice, an organization that pairs underserved middle school students with high-achieving high school students to stop the cycle of disparity. She has also been active in Key Club and National Honor Society.

Emma H., Eastern High School

Emma is a track and cross country athlete who has held different leadership positions within the National Honor Society. She has also volunteered in multiple ways within the community and taken part in writer’s conferences the past two summers.

Noah S., CYK Homeschool

Noah is a standout track and field star who has taken dual credit college courses while completing his high school work. Alongside his brother, he also started a lawn care business that operates in the local community.

Kiera M., Whitefield Academy

Kiera has maintained a 4.0 GPA during her high school years and has shown outstanding leadership as the stage manager for this year’s school play. She’s also very active in her church and as a peer tutor.

Keegan M., Jeffersonville High School

Keegan has maintained a 4.0 GPA while taking dual credit and AP classes all four years. He won the AP Scholar Award this year and earned his Technical Certificate from Ivy Tech Community College. Additionally, he’s involved in the JHS band, marching band, pep band, InterACT club, National Honor Society, Academic Bowl team and ping pong club.

“Serving the community means doing more than simply providing a service,” said Greg Wells, President of Jarboe’s Heating, Cooling and Plumbing. “Giving back in the form of scholarships for high school seniors who have impressive leadership skills is one of the most important things we do. Each individual was nominated by loved ones and peers in their own communities, and they all exemplify great leadership. Congratulations to these impressive young people!”

MAX Scholarships for Leadership is part of its MAX Gives campaign that focuses on charitable contributions to the community. Other initiatives include HVAC giveaways to families in need and teachers, water heater giveaways to first responders and community volunteers, monthly donations to various charities, and donations to families during the holiday season.
